Wills and Bequests
Overview

For over a century the Salvos have endeavoured to be there whenever and wherever they are needed most.
When you remember The Salvation Army in your Will, you become a partner in our life-changing work and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
"I've included the Salvos in my Will and I invite you to do the same." - Stuart Diver
How a Bequest Can Help
Bequests are often referred to as "the gift that never stops giving". These gifts are generally used for capital development projects such as aged care facilities and hostels for the homeless.
Our Wills Update newsletter provides an insight into the work of The Salvation Army.
Our Honoured Friends
This very special group is made up of people who have advised us of their bequest to The Salvation Army.
By their generosity they have shown themselves to be friends of The Salvation Army and we honour them in recognition of their support.
Free Information Booklet
Our booklet Your Will, Your Family and The Salvation Army provides information on the many things to keep in mind when preparing a Will. It also explains how to leave a gift to The Salvation Army.
Our booklet isn't a Will Kit and isn't a substitute for professional legal advice. We always recommend that you speak to a qualified solicitor or legal practitioner to ensure the validity of your Will.

SOLICITORS
Honoured Friends Solicitors of The Salvation Army support our Wills and Bequests programme.
We were encouraged when Stuart Diver advised us of his decision to bequest. We will also be delighted to hear of your decision.
The Salvation Army recommends that your Will be prepared by a solicitor, trustee company or The Public Trustee. If required we may be able to assist by identifying one of these in your area.
